Rules and Regulations

Ritz Pets Inn Daycare Center is here to provide a safe, fun, stimulating and supervised social environment for your dog(s). To ensure the safety and health of your human companion, we request our guests to comply with all of the following Rules and Regulations.

APPLICATION & INTERVIEW:
All dogs must go through the approval process which includes an application, a temperament test, verification of current vaccinations, and a negative Giardia fecal test. Please complete the application and bring it to your interview appointment. This information helps us to learn about your dog so that we can evaluate whether or not our daycare is a good fit for him/her. The approval process also helps us get to know your dog better, enabling us to provide a happy experience for your favorite 4-legged family member.

HEALTH:
Owners will have to certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not had a communicable disease in the last 30 days. Prior to admissions, all dogs must be free of any condition or virus that could jeopardize the other dogs. A veterinarian certification of health will be required before readmitting your dog after any illness.

BEHAVIOR:
All dogs must be non-aggressive towards humans or other dogs. Keep in mind that your dog(s) will be spending the majority of time with other dogs and that safety and health are our main concerns. We request that the dogs that come to stay with us have some background in obedience training. Dogs in daycare must not exhibit any aggressive behavior for any reason. Any dog exhibiting such behavior will be safely isolated from the rest of the dogs until the situation can be remedied or arrangements can be made for the dog’s guardian to pick them up. We reserve the right to exclude and remove any dog from daycare that poses a potential risk to the safety of itself, other dogs and/or our staff.

The interaction your dog has with other dogs can create a chance of injury or development of illness. Although we can not have 100% control of this, we will take every precaution possible to reduce this risk. Common injuries can include sore feet, sore muscles, joint nicks, and scratches due to running around and playing. Common illnesses can include diarrhea and minor respiratory infections.
